110 genes detected in breast cancer warning

British scientists have discovered 110 genes linked to breast cancer risk in a major medical breakthrough that paves the way for new treatments for the disease

The new study, the most comprehensive study ever conducted in breast cancer genetics, scientists claim that their findings can save a lot of lives, entering a new era of better treatments for the disease

One-third of the genes scientists have discovered play a role in the survival of breast cancer, paving
the way for the discovery of new drugs

These findings could also allow doctors to perform new genetic tests to predict the risk of women's infections and to avoid thousands of severe chemotherapy
Statistics indicate that the disease affects about 55 thousand women annually, with the death of 11 thousand every year

Delith Morgan, who funded the study, said these important findings "can ultimately help us predict more accurately than ever the most vulnerable women and allow us to develop new effective therapies

Morgan said that many genes are relatively unreliable so far, and we hope at the moment that additional research to determine the exact role in the risk of breast cancer, and how it can be used to prevent the development of the disease in many women
